How politics destroyed contemporary art

We are fortunate to live, here in the West, in a peculiar age devoid of common sense. As fact becomes stranger than fiction, we should embrace the surreal and stretch our imaginations to create even more outlandish narratives. Perhaps we should begin by acknowledging that we are constantly being lied to—that much of what we see and hear is illusion, distortion, or mere performance.

In many ways, life itself has become a fiction. Reality is dissolving under the weight of its own representations, leaving us grappling with collective delusions.
